    J’aurai le très grand plaisir de participer au mar J’aurai le très grand plaisir de participer au marché @80potiers_tulipes les 4, 5 et 6 avril, à Morges.

Le nom explicite plutôt bien le concept : 80 super stands de poterie en même temps que la fête de la 
tulipe (avec, figurez-vous, carrément 140’000 tulipes de 350 espèces différentes qui sont plantées).

Je travaille depuis plusieurs mois pour vous proposer de toutes nouvelles pièces à cette occasion et ça me ferait très plaisir de vous y voir :)

    This series of cups was conceived to deliberately This series of cups was conceived to deliberately reveal the traces of the hand. Finger marks created during the pulling of the clay are intentionally accentuated. The wire used to cut the piece off the wheel head is twisted, leaving a visible curved mark since the base is not trimmed. Finally, each cup is dipped into the glaze while being held directly by hand, leaving three unglazed points at the bottom that correspond to the position of my fingers.

These cups echo a recent request from a client who was looking for something “very artisanal” — pieces where there is no doubt that they were made by hand, I guess. Interestingly, achieving a result that looks less “perfect” is not necessarily easier. In fact, when one is used to pursuing very clean and precise forms, it can prove surprisingly difficult.

    These matcha bowls, wheel-thrown off the hump for These matcha bowls, wheel-thrown off the hump for the Japanese tea shop @marutcha.ch, could almost be the starting point of a modern tragedy in three acts.

Act I: In pursuit of an eye-catching photograph for social media, the protagonist decides to build a seemingly unstable structure with five bowls.

Act II: The instability proves to be more than an illusion — the bowls begin to wobble, then inevitably collapse.

Act III: In a desperate attempt to catch them, the protagonist strikes his head with surprising force. Convinced for a moment that he has saved the bowls, he soon notices small fragments scattered across the floor: one of the five commissioned pieces has shattered. The tragedy is complete.

With a prominent bump precisely centered on his forehead, he reluctantly resolves to replace the broken piece with a sixth bowl he had intended to keep for himself — one distinguished by a nerikomi pattern and unexpected, irreproducible marks he found particularly compelling. He lifts it one last time before his bruised face, contemplates it, and quietly bids it farewell.
